ZOLVI started with a pretty simple problem: my son loved the water, but absolutely hated being cold afterwards.

Living by the beach with three boys means we spend a lot of time around the water, and I wanted something I could throw on them after a swim that would keep them warm and covered, without the battle of getting changed straight away.

One day, I grabbed a couple of pre-loved towels and decided to make what I couldn’t find. I added a hood, sleeves and a full zip, and made the first wearable zip towel.

It worked. I could zip him up straight out of the water, he was warm and covered, and we could skip the change rooms and get on with our day.

What started as something I made for my own family quickly became something other parents wanted too, and eventually became ZOLVI.

The first ZOLVI was made from pre-loved towels, and upcycling has been part of the idea ever since. I love taking something that already exists and turning it into something practical, useful and completely new.

It’s also what I love about ZOLVI sewing patterns. You can use a towel you already have, find something special second-hand, or start with a brand new towel and make it your own.

Beach days aren't always picture perfect. There are sandy feet, wet towels, cold kids and someone who definitely doesn't want to get changed.

ZOLVI is made for those moments.

Through sewing patterns, limited handmade drops and new ideas for life by the water, my goal is to create things that make family life a little easier, with practicality, creativity and upcycling always at the heart of it.
